On the open road
I’m getting really excited. There are only three more weeks before I start my gap year. I’ll be traveling around the world for 15 months and I plan to visit 5 continents. It is going to be great. I am going to meet so many people and see so many different things.
I’m a bit nervous though. I’m going alone and I’ve never been good at meeting people. I’ve been reading blogs and posting on Lonely Planet asking lots of questions and hoping to meet other travelers. Luckily, I found this website about what it is like to Travel the world and how to meet people. After reading that website, i really feel a lot better about traveling. I don’t think it will be so hard to meet people. The author of the site says there are a lot of solo travelers on the road and everyone is really friendly. Considering how much information is on the site, I believe him.
Three more weeks and I’ll be able to know for sure. Every day goes slower than the last as I want for my travels to begin.
