What makes a good childrens bible story?
The bible tends to be a little complicated in its original text for younger kids in particular. But as a Christian I want to be sure that what I offer to my children does not watter down the meaning and essence of these special stories, that they grasp the meanings, that they are interested, engaged, and want to discuss the messages afterwards. A childrens bible story should keep them interested and give them something to think about, and that is what I’m on the hunt for almost constantly. The children consume a great deal of information and want more and more, and as they develop I am always struggling to keep ahead of their needs intellectually.
